Fork the Fire!

A tragic thing happened a few weeks ago, two local, independently-owned restaurants burned to the ground. Over 50 restaurants are now coming together to offer ways to contribute that can help these restaurateurs and their staff through these difficult times.

Join us Sunday, March 14, 2010 - when we will be offering a specially selected bottle of wine for $50, and 100% of the proceeds raised will go directly to their relief.

Further, all Meritage staff will be donating their labor hours on March 14th, to help us make a significant contribution to the staff at both Blackbird & Heidi's. Join us!

CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF DOMAINE SERENE
A once-in-a-lifetime 20th Anniversary Winemaker Dinner

Grace & Ken Evenstad, Owners and founders of Domaine Serene, joined us to talk about their award-winning wines and delight diners with tales from their storied past.

Guests enjoyed a hand-selected library wines in honor of Domaine Serene's 20th Anniversary, including the award-winning 2006 "Evenstad Reserve" Pinot Noir.
Chef Klein put together some beautiful plates to accentuate all of the strengths of Domaine Serene wines and helped create memorable evening.

Morel Fest

Meritage was honored to host Chef Jim Kyndberg and his annual Morel Fest from the late and great Bayport Cookery. It was a hugely successful evening that was sold out within 72 hours of its announcement.

Singing in the RainChef Klein's off-Broadway Premier
Sunday - June 28, 2009

Chef Klein made his off-broadway debut on the Ordway Stage as the Cop swinging his baton as the Gene Kelly character breaks out into the namesake of the Musical "Singing in the Rain" - at the 2:00pm Matinee showing on the final day of the theatre run.

Much thanks to Patricia Mitchell, Ordway President for her care and thoughtfulness. Chef had his own dressing room, star for the door, and a directors chair made just for him. So thoughtful! Thank you to everyone at the Ordway for a really fun experience!.
