The Grallet-Dupic Legacy
Six Generations of Craft in Lorraine
In the village of Rozelieures, nestled in the Lorraine region of northeastern France, the Grallet-Dupic family has cultivated the land since 1877. What began as a cereal and tree farm evolved through generations into mirabelle plum orchards and, eventually, artisan distillation.
In 2001, Christophe Dupic and his father-in-law Hubert Grallet drew inspiration from a visit to Scotland. Recognizing that their farm already possessed every element needed — barley fields, copper pot stills, a distillery, and a deep tradition of spirit production — they embarked on crafting single malt whisky.
The family built their own malting facility, incorporating 100% of the production process in-house. This pioneering commitment positioned Rozelieures as one of the earliest and most respected names in French whisky-making.
