Termination Process
Staff Departure Form
Clean exits. Clear records. No loose ends.
When someone leaves — whether it's their choice or ours — we need a record.
Not for bureaucracy. For clarity.
Why This Matters
Six months from now, when a former team member applies somewhere else and lists Meritage as a reference, you'll want to know:
Did they leave on good terms?
Are we comfortable providing a reference?
How long were they actually with us?
Without a record, you're guessing. Or asking around. Or saying "I think they were fine?" That's not how we operate.

When to Use This
Every departure. No exceptions.
Resignation? Form.
Termination? Form.
Seasonal end? Form.
No-call no-show or a walkout? Form.
Even the messy ones. Especially the messy ones.
The 2-Minute Investment
This form takes less time than the conversation you'll have later trying to remember what happened. Fill it out while the details are fresh. Sophie handles the rest. Questions? Talk to Desta.
